After 2 weeks of diaconate service at St. George's Romanian Orthodox
Church in London, England (29th November-15th December 1976), deacon
Constantin Alecse was appointed by the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox
Patriarchate of Romania as the Rector of St. George's Romanian Orthodox
Church in the St. Dunstan's in the West Parish, London, England, and also the
Representative of His Beatitude the Patriarch of Romania to the Archbishop of
Canterbury, His Eminence Donald Coggan. In this new capacity, deacon
Constantin Alecse, has been ordained to the Holy Priesthood by the Rt. Rev.
Bishop Lucian Florea Fagarasanu of Paris (France), being awarded the title of
"Iconom Stavrofor". The Most Rev. Lucian Florea Fagarasanu is presently
Archbishop of Tomis.
